EasyRams Grass Fed 100% NZ Terminal Rams

How will EasyRam Terminal rams make YOU more money?

EasyRam NZ Terminal ram sales will serve more ewes in a season than other native born UK rams. Careful genetic selection over the last 100 years in NZ allied to our only feeding rams on grass or forage means that YOU can safely run 1 EasyRam shearling Terminal tup with 120/140 ewes and he will happily serve them in a single cycle. An EasyRam ram lamb will serve 60/70 ewes in a single cycle. This will allow YOU to reduce your annual tupping charges by up to 66% (See attached report from SRUC’s John Vipond) goto our RAM Calculator to calculate your ram costs.
EasyRam NZ Terminal rams are guaranteed not to MELT whilst tupping and are expected to work on average for 4 or 5 seasons. If any die before the end of their SECOND service season they will be replaced for YOU FOC. See Warranty details.

EasyRam NZ Terminal rams sire moderate sized wedge shaped lambs that are easily born and quick to suck meaning lower lamb mortality particularly when lambing out doors and in the uplands. Less losses will make YOU more profits.
EasyRam NZ Terminal rams are bred and selected on Forage only diets.

EasyRam NZ Terminal rams are bred to produce for YOU lambs that will finish in the shortest possible time only off grass ( see attached study proving the NZ Terminal sires outperform Irish > genetically the same as UK< Suffolks and Texels on grass based systems).
EasyRam NZ Terminal rams are bred and selected to maximise the amount of meat in the carcass ( see recording) giving YOU better killing out% and grades at slaughter.

EasyRam Terminal rams carry 100% NZ genetics and have been bred over very many generations to produce lambs that are hardy and great survivors at birth and finish quickly and produce a high meat content carcass off a grass only diet.

BEWARE OF FAKE NZ SUFFOLKS

There is increasing reference in the Press to “New Zealand Suffolks” or “Part New Zealand Suffolk” or “New Zealand SuffolkType”. This description is often used to describe rams that are at best 50% NZ and often even less. Remember a 66% NZ Suffolk used on a UK Suffolk only sires a 33% NZ Suffolk ram. WE KNOW THESE ARE NOT THE REAL DEAL. So BEWARE and only buy the genuine product from EASYRAMS.

They are the ideal sires for use in YOUR sheep enterprise if you seek sheep that can be run on a low input basis with reduced shepherding costslow input sheep particularly shepherding alongside high levels of output.

New Zealand flock masters over the last 35 years have reduced the national flock by half whilst maintaining the amount of sheep meat produced each year and have reduced the amount of labour used so that where 1 man shepherded 850 ewes in the mid 1980’s today that same 1 man will be looking after 3500 ewes.

EasyRams have 3 alternative terminal sire breeds that allow you to match a specific breed and type of terminal ram to your own specific flock needs.

NZ Suffolks was originally imported from the UK into New Zealand until 1952. Whilst there they have been developed into a highly efficient low cost ram that is particularly suited for use on harder terrain. The normal faults of UK Suffolks including difficult births, dopey lambs, dirty backends and the need for concentrates to finish NEVER happens in NZ Suffolks. As a client said my NZ Suffolks are just like what a good Suffolk was 50 years ago befor the breeders messed them up”.

NZ Sufftex( Texel X Suffolk) rams are now the No1 terminal ram in New Zealand. This breed is now properly stabilised and apart from the benefits of Hybrid Vigour will give you the rapid growth of the Suffolk and the meatiness of the Texel.

NZ Texels were originally imported into New Zealand from Scandinavia 35 years ago when those were the only Scrapie Free countries in Europe. Like all New Zealand sheep they have been developed for ease of management and are particularly chosen for the excellent survivability and high meat yields of their lambs.

All EasyRam Terminal rams are fully recorded and come complete with a full Terminal Index from SIL allowing you to choose on a similar performance basis the rams from all 3 breeds with the best breeding potential on a like for like basis for your own flock. ( For more info please see recording )
